You may have RSP or TFSA or non register money acounts with interest rates at rock bottom interest rates that could be moved else where.Take time to document your spending for one year to see where you could cut back or right size your life for a comfortable retirement.This will give you a very clear picture of exactly how much you do spend. It may surprise you or even shock you as to how much you really do spend and how much you will need to live the way you are accustomed to. The best way to prepare for retirement is to adjust your spending, right size your budget,your home, life style or the toys you have considering insuranceds, taxes, monthly living costs etc. Be realistic about your spending. Mostly do not spend monies you don,t have. Example line of credit, credit cards. loans. You need to be debt free. You can do it. The most important advice I have is live within your means . Do not look at the goverment for an example or you will be broke.

I got an email this morning for travel into space. It is from Virgin Airlines and it is for one day at the cost of only $2000,000. dollars. Why I think we all should try it don,t you.

Guess the title says it all. Hockey hockey hockey Canada. Long live our blessed hockey. Sure you only have to drop a mere 500. dollars to get in. up to 8000. dollars for the duration of the 2010 Olympics. Are we out of our minds. I said to my husband hey lets go and we should take our kids too. Most people in BC are struggling to stay afloat or hang onto jobs never mind come up with that kind of money just for a day out. I know that many corporation will take advantage of such a great deal. Hey wouldn,t you if you could write it off on your taxes as entertainment costs. (the cost of doing business) . I,m kinda thinking it might be worth my while to get a business license so I can take my family and friend too. It would be the only way I could afford it. Society and especially VANOC is so out to lunch on finances. If i did that in my home or job I would have been fired along time ago. Was VANOC given any open cheque book with no accountability . All in the name of leaving a wonderful legacy of debt to the residents of BC. I really wonder if a survey was given how many regular taxe paying residense can afford to attend the games. It is over priced for those that already have money to write it all off. Just call me disgusted. I know it will come and it will go but it absolutly irratates me to no end the shear glutteny of this whole sharade. I,m all pretty sure they will be busy making lots of snow. I don,t think there will be very much. OH WHAT WILL VANOC DO???

Where does the Wind Come From

Did you ever wonder where the wind comes from? Maybe behind the trees where the leaves flutter Maybe in the sky where the birds seem to float on air. And the airplanes fly. Maybe over the water where the waves roll And sail boats glide. In the fields where grass bends with grace. And sunflowers tilt their sunny face. Is the wind behind where this flag blows with strength? Does the wind hide in swirls that touch the earth or Ripple the tops of ponds and lakes. I feel the wind touch my face and gentle tussle my hair. But I still can,t see it anywhere. I know the wind is there quite in presence But alive in thunder And still blowing everywhere.

Been thinking about just the word entertainment, entertainers. What does it mean when society thinks they are worth a couple million dollars to make a picture or play a game. It is only because as a society we scream for more things to make us happy or give us an adrenaline rush. We are a people of gluttony wasteful and disrespectful of our own self worth. We sit and watch any reality show going . I sincerely think Hollywood has run out of ideas. When we get a thrill to look into other people sorrows or laugh when someone is hurt in such shows as Punked. I even question my own taste in entertainment as I sit and waste endless hours watching TV just because there is nothing else to do. When I see hockey, baseball, golf stars, singers, movie stars etc. making millions of dollars for playing a game or acting so that people have something to fill their days. What if they could live one week in the shoes of middle class people so they can see what its like to try to pay your medical and just survive. Their wages are so out of line it is no wonder our economy suffers. There seem to be no middle ground any more. Either your rich or poor. When our country has so much there should be no need for people dying. It is all about the power and the glitz. we live in a world of selfish greedy people. What is enough? Ask Oprah or Donald Trump or the mega movers of Las Vegas and New York. Ask the government of Dubai or slum dogs of India. People just do not seem to care any more. They make millions and all they show for it is greed. What do they do to help the starving and end suffering. They have more money then any where. I hope they realize it will do absolutly no -one any good in a bank. If even half the stars and sports people would just have a little compasion so many lives could change. I hope they choke on all their money. It will not make you happy or give you unending health. The only reason they have what they have is because of us small potatoes that can only imagination through a movie or talk show or a gold game or sports what it could be like not to worry about food or shelter or just being safe. It makes me sick when you have the Paris Hilton's of the world who,s only claim to fame is mommy and daddy. Any way we are headed for Sodom and Gomorrah. Hang onto your hats its going to be one hell of a ride for those who hide and hourded when so many had nothing

ll Timothy 3:14-17 Believe what you were taught. Gods word does not change. Preach the word of God urgently at all times in season and out. Correct and rebuke people when needed by encouraging to do what is right while feeding them patiently with Gods word. There are people who will not listen to the truth but search for teachers to tell them what they want to hear. Stand firm and don,t be afraid to suffer for the Lord. Leave nothing undone that you ought to do. In the last days it is going to be very hard to be a christian. Peoples love of money and worldly goods and power will be greater then their love for God. They will think nothing of immorality and disrespect of others. The whole bible was given to us by inspiration from God to teach us what is true and help us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and helps us to be fully equipped to do good to everyone. If you have been asking yourself what is my purpose or what is the purpose to life, start getting into the word and let Christ reveal his purpose to you for your life. You will never know if you don,t look. Don,t be afraid to try something new and just maybe God is waiting for you. Your life and your testimony might be just the tool Jesus is waiting for to help someone that is going through a trial that only you can could understand. Give Jesus a try and see how your life can change. because HE IS COMING SOON!!!

Seen the ads with the french for Canada protesting that it could limit the volunteers for 2010 because it is not in both English and french. Well the last time I checked this was Canada and English is a universal language. It does not always have to be about the French. Just give it a rest will you. Why do yous always have to be cause havoc. A little co-operation goes a long way. If you take a good look at Canada the french language is not always considered a second language. I am of French Canadian back ground as well as Native and at times ashamed of how secular and isolated this two groups insist on making themselves. Stand up and be part of Canada you don,t need everything in two languages. Do you have to act so childish and throw a temper tantrum to get your way all the time. Grow up, stop making excuse why the french can,t volunteer . If you really wanted to volunteer like so many others from other countries are doing you would do it without all the fuss. Other countries are not asking to have things done in their language and wounldn,t even consider it. The games are already over done and over spent why add fire to the flame. GET A LIFE THIS IS CANADA . MULTI CULTURE. ENGLISH IS NATIONAL.

Alaska

First cruise to Alaska. Weather was great except for one day but that was our cruising day up the coast of BC. Sailed out of Vancouver under sunny skies. We had great food and entertainment on board the Ryndam. From Alaska king crab to prime rib to the most awesome desserts. We sampled some of the sculptures made from chocolate on the Chocolate extravaganza night. It was much too sweet for me but really great to see all the different designs. I did indulge in a chocolate covered strawberry or two. The mornings we had coffee and toast delivered to our room. Some morning and afternoons we would get our coffee and a blanket and set out front our room on deck chairs similar to what you seen on the movie Titanic and just watch the shore line as we sailed by. We stopped in Juneau, then on to Ketakan, through Tracy arm to the Glacier which no words can possible describe but awesome wonder of Gods creation more magnificent then any painting more breath taking then anything I,d imagined. God was everywhere you looked. We then sailed on to Skagway and got our land legs for a bit. In the evening we treated our self to an wonderful dinner in the main dinning room which came with beautiful concert concerto's by a small concert band.It was very elegant. After dinner we took in the evening entertainment provided by the ships crew and also a young fellow who did impersonations and some comedy as well. Our friends and us also enjoyed the movie theater on board and watch Benjamin Button starring Brad Pitt. It was quite the movie 2 1/2 hours long but kept us guessing all the twist and turns. We also were treated to popcorn which is a must for a movie , right. Our trip was definitely one to remember. I took over 80 pictures or more all treasures to me . I enjoyed my time immensely. I would recommend this trip to everyone interested in seeing Alaska.

For everyone who watched the show last night Monday May 25 you gotta say it was pretty sad. They are so young to have such huge decision too make. Yes they have alot of material stuff from doing the show but it does not make up for the first few years when your in the planning stages of dating, engagements and getting married. I,m sure they wouldn,t do it over again if they new they where having 6 babies at one time but there is no way you could ask a mother to decide which baby not to deliver. To me it would not have even been a decision. They are all a gift from God and for everything there is a reason and a season. I do know from being from a broken home it is something you deal with the rest of your life.When people say children are resilient that can,t be further from the truth. All children ever want is there own mom and dad to be there for birthdays, celebration and school days etc. I know that when a special holiday comes or an event I would love it to be my mom and dad and it has been over 30 years since my parents were together. I really hope they can get some help and counseling for there marriage. I believe that everything we comes with a choice. If Jon and Kate decide to stay together they can and will be able to do that but it has to be there choice. They have had so much public life and I understand they probable did it to secure monies for the future of the children and themselves. I do see that they seemed to let money inter fer with too much personal life. Who with eight children has a magician and two bouncy rooms for there kids birthday. That is not even in the reality of most white collar folks. Jon and Kate have been given way too much and obviously don,t know how to manage money as for it not to become a three ring circus. Everything has to be to excess. I do love there show and the little ones are darling and I really hope they make a choice to get back to what brought them together in the first place. MAYBE JON AND KATE YOU NEED TOO BACK UP BEFORE YOU GET RUN OVER. Spoken in love I really feel for yous and your family .. Give God a try he will never fail.
